Yours, Mine & Ours

Admiral Frank Beardsley returns to New London to oversee the Coast Guard Academy, marking his final assignment before a likely promotion to lead the Guard. As a widower with eight children, he maintains a loving yet regimented household, complete with schedules and formalities. His children yearn for stability. Meanwhile, Helen North, a free-spirited designer, raises her ten children in a lively and affectionate environment, filled with spontaneous group hugs. When Frank and Helen, who were high school sweethearts, meet again at a reunion, they instantly fall back in love and decide to marry immediately. However, challenges arise as their two families, one accustomed to freedom and the other to structure, are forced to coexist. The children, initially at odds, conspire to break up the marriage.
