Tuscaloosa

Set in 1972 Alabama, “Tuscaloosa” follows the story of Billy Mitchell, a recent college graduate who finds himself torn between his father’s expectations and his own desires as he becomes entangled with a free-spirited patient from the mental institution where he works. The film explores themes of love, societal change, and personal freedom against the backdrop of a racially and politically charged Southern town.
