When psychologist Kate Kovic is tasked with assessing the mental state of a young death row inmate showing symptoms of multiple personality disorder, she faces a tight deadline of seven days before the execution. Her challenge is to discern whether the girl is pretending to have the disorder to escape the death penalty or if her alternate personalities hold the key to solving the mysterious Toyman Killer murders.
