THE KIDS MENU is a documentary film created by the same team behind “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead.” During his global travels for his previous films, filmmaker Joe Cross encountered thousands of individuals, repeatedly facing the issue of rising childhood obesity. In THE KIDS MENU, Joe engages with specialists, parents, educators, and children, ultimately realizing that childhood obesity is merely a symptom of a larger issue. This includes a lack of understanding about healthy foods, limited access to nutritious and affordable options, and the impact of negative role models, whether they be parents, teachers, or celebrities. Although these challenges seem daunting, when children are empowered, they often surprisingly choose healthier lifestyles.
