The Commander

Lewis Collins returns to lead a team of mercenaries in Southeast Asia. This time, the film boasts an impressive cast, featuring Lee Van Cleef, Brett Halsey (known for “Cop Game”), Romano Puppo (from “Robowar”), Mike Monty (of “Raiders of Atlantis”), and Bobby Rhodes (from “The Great Alligator”), among others. Van Cleef assigns Collins a seemingly arbitrary mission to find a disc containing highly valuable and chaotic intelligence data. Meanwhile, Donald Pleasence, portraying a government official, hires another mercenary, Manfred Lehman, to accompany Collins and ensure the data is delivered to the appropriate parties. Van Cleef, not one to leave things to chance, eliminates Collins’s other superiors and adds Romano Puppo to the team to ensure the mission’s success. Although Collins may not be the most expressive, he quickly identifies those who are against him, leading to a mission filled with betrayals, unexpected twists, and plenty of explosions.
