One evening, Susie Q was on her way to a dance with her boyfriend when they were involved in a car accident that sent them off a bridge. Many years later, a teenager named Zach Sands moves into Susie’s former home. Zach’s family consists of his mother and sister, Penny Sands, following the death of his father in a car accident. One night, Zach encounters Susie and realizes he can see her. Susie reveals to Zach that there is a Heaven, and after death, people are sometimes sent back to Earth to assist their families. When they can’t manage on their own, they receive special help, which is why Zach can see her—to aid her family.
