In his debut film, director Marcelo Briem Stamm presents a provocative and unsettling story of romance and deceit. The film follows Manuel (Patrico Ramos), an attractive man from a middle-class background, who is still nursing wounds from a past relationship and is weary of solitude. He encounters Julio (Mario Veron), a rugged and solitary young man without a job, in an online chat room. When they meet face-to-face, their chemistry is undeniable, leading to frequent and fulfilling sexual encounters. However, their shared struggles with intimacy, trust, and the fear of emotional pain make them wary of fully committing to each other. As their relationship progresses, they begin to disclose secrets from their pasts, but it’s unclear whether these confessions are genuine, imagined, or outright fabrications. The film explores questions of truth, identity, and love, culminating in a romantic and passionate drama/thriller with a surprising and oddly satisfying ending.
