Shanda’s River
This independent Italian horror film draws inspiration from the iconic Italian horror cinema of the 1970s and 80s. The story follows Professor Emma as she travels to Voghera, a quaint town in Northern Italy, to investigate the tale of the witch Shanda, who was executed in the early 1800s near the river that bears her name. Emma becomes trapped by a magical curse, compelling her to relive the same day repeatedly. Each day ends with her death, only for her to awaken and begin the cycle anew.
