Maxine never achieved stardom with her girl group, Variety, but she remains determined to pursue her dreams as the struggling manager of the teenage pop band, Sweet Gyal. However, her world is turned upside down when Sweet Gyal, tired of her living through them and her awkward efforts to secure a record deal, threaten to fire her.

In response, Maxine devises a bold new strategy for a comeback. This time, it’s going to be grander, more daring, and, well… more mature. After all, who needs a trendy young girl group when the world is truly missing Mum Pop?
