Top Coppers chronicles the escapades of officers John Mahogany and Mitch Rust as they strive to cleanse the imaginary Justice City of its twisted criminal underbelly. The setting and characters are inspired by the classic elements of American and British police dramas from the 1970s and 1980s, such as Starsky & Hutch and The Professionals, yet the show is not anchored to any particular era or location.
