“Night Court” is a U.S. TV sitcom that was broadcast on NBC from January 4, 1984, to May 31, 1992. The show takes place during the night shift at a Manhattan courthouse, overseen by the unconventional and youthful Judge Harold T. “Harry” Stone. The series was the brainchild of comedy writer Reinhold Weege, who had earlier contributed to “Barney Miller” in the late ’70s and early ’80s.
