Inside Combat Rescue

The highly skilled Pararescuemen, known as PJs, from the U.S. Air Force’s elite Combat Rescue unit, are dedicated to a singular mission: saving American or Allied troops facing grave threats. Whether their comrades are downed, trapped behind enemy lines, encircled, under attack, injured, or taken prisoner, PJs are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure their safe return. For the first time ever, these PJs have permitted camera crews to document their operations in Afghanistan. “Inside Combat Rescue” chronicles the experiences and lives of these exceptional airmen.
