C.O.P.S.

C.O.P.S. is an American animated TV show produced by DIC Entertainment and Celebrity Home Entertainment. Airing from 1988 to 1989, the series featured the tagline: “Fighting crime in a future time, protecting Empire City from Big Boss and his gang of crooks.” In 1993, CBS aired reruns on Saturday mornings under the new title CyberCOPS, to avoid confusion with an unrelated primetime reality show that premiered in 1989. The cartoon was inspired by Hasbro’s 1988 action figure line, C.O.P.S ‘N’ Crooks.
