Satin

Jack Satin, a once-popular lounge singer from Las Vegas played by Hamilton von Watts, finds himself broke, unemployed, and clinging to unrealistic dreams of stardom. Forced to leave Vegas, he sets off for Atlantic City in his vintage Cadillac. However, his journey is cut short when his car breaks down in the desert, leaving him stuck in the quaint town of Lost Springs. There, he encounters Doc Bishop, a former jazz great turned mechanic, portrayed by Robert Guillaume, who assists him with his vehicle issues. Despite being far from the spotlight, Jack starts to feel a sense of belonging in the small town. His perspective shifts further when he meets Lauren Wells, a bar owner played by Melissa Joan Hart, who shows him that life offers more than just the pursuit of fame and wealth. With Doc’s encouragement, Jack begins to reconnect with his genuine passion for music, while Lauren provides the audience he has always longed for. Just as Jack starts to appreciate the town’s offerings over the allure of city lights, his past from Vegas resurfaces, leading to a comedic tale at life’s crossroads.
