River Guard

Crime novelist Sean Flynn returns to his hometown of Riverport, North Carolina, from New York after a lengthy absence when the authorities decide to reopen the old murder case that derailed his father’s political career. In his quest to uncover the truth behind a mysterious death and advance his own writing career, Sean must face the shared issues that have long estranged him from his father, Chuck Flynn. Chuck, once a District Attorney and now a defense attorney, is handling the case while spending his days drinking at a bar near the courthouse. As the trial progresses, the case proves to be far more complex than it initially appeared. The hidden truth and the same forces that have driven a wedge between them will ultimately challenge the bond between father and son.
