Imagine taking every element of the 1980s, blending them into a smoothie, and then translating that concoction through a device that only understands languages from another realm. Even then, you wouldn’t capture the sheer hilarity, eccentricity, and peculiar charm of “Miami Connection.” Set in 1987, the film follows the Biker Ninjas who dominate Miami’s drug scene as they encounter a new group of heroes: Dragon Sound, a rock band with a passion for Taekwondo. Armed with their martial arts prowess and catchy tunes like “Friends” and “Against the Ninja,” they perform at a popular Orlando nightclub, determined to put an end to the menace of Ninja Biker violence once and for all.
