Late Bloomers

Louise, a 28-year-old from Brooklyn who lacks direction, has just ended a relationship. She’s a part-time musician, struggling with unacknowledged depression. One night, in a drunken mishap, she injures her hip, leading to a stay in a rehabilitation center surrounded by much older patients. There, she encounters Antonina, a grumpy elderly Polish lady who doesn’t speak English. Louise takes on the role of her caregiver. Although neither is thrilled with the situation, it forces them to confront the realities of getting older. Eventually, everyone must mature.
