Four narratives about Finnish life intertwine. In the first tale, former bassist Tom makes an error by contacting his old bandmate, drummer Monkki Mähönen, to renovate his wife’s summer house. This story takes on horror-like elements as Monkki and the lady of the house, Stina, find themselves on a collision course. The next narrative follows a wannabe motorcycle gang and its leader, Jouni, who is embarrassed at the local shop. Seeking revenge for this humiliation, Jouni plans a heist inspired by his love for famous action films. The third story explores the journey of tabloid journalism from the early 1960s to the mid-60s. Meanwhile, the film introduces us to the notorious Helsinki fantasy and sci-fi director Kurt von “Kurre” Riikonen, who becomes the focal point of the fourth story.
