Based on real-life events, the story follows a woman who, after suffering abuse, flees with her young son from her aggressive husband, seeking refuge in California. However, she quickly discovers that her husband has charged her with kidnapping, prompting a relentless legal chase. Now on the run, she must endanger her own safety and liberty to shield herself and her son from this dangerous man.
