Charlie returns from boarding school to care for her ailing mother, Laura, who runs a small organic egg farm in rural New Jersey. Balancing her mother’s care, managing the farm alone, and keeping up with her studies proves challenging. Their already tense daily life, marked by years of unspoken resentment, is further disrupted when Laura’s mother, Solange, arrives unexpectedly. Solange, an eccentric French feminist who left the U.S. long ago, has never been close to her daughter. Laura’s sudden illness prompts her to reconnect. Can these three women, so different from one another, find a way to coexist? As they face an unexpected bird flu outbreak threatening the farm, they must overcome their conflicts. Only love and laughter can mend old wounds and help them embrace each other’s differences.
