Born Yesterday

A businessman arrives in Washington with the aim of promoting policies that support his construction projects. His former showgirl girlfriend, who lacks social sophistication, becomes a source of embarrassment in public settings. To remedy this, he employs a journalist to help her seem more intelligent. However, the journalist soon realizes that she is not as unintelligent as she seems. As she starts to scrutinize the documents her wealthy partner has her sign, the situation becomes more complex, especially as the journalist finds himself developing feelings for her.
