Best Laid Plans

David Blair helms this compelling British drama, which takes loose inspiration from John Steinbeck’s ‘Of Mice and Men’. The story unfolds in Nottingham, focusing on the bond between the rough-edged Danny (played by Stephen Graham) and Joseph (portrayed by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), a towering man with the mental capacity of a seven-year-old. Faced with a debt to a local crime lord, Danny believes his only option is to exploit Joseph by involving him in a string of illicit cage fights to settle his financial obligations.
