Frankie is a determined and fervent musician, deeply committed to her rock band and proud of her Italian-American roots. She is set to marry a respectable Italian man, and her life seems perfectly organized until she stumbles upon a murder victim in the trunk of her rental car. Her sister, Heather, persuades her to go to the funeral, where they encounter Nicolette, the daughter of Brooklyn’s new mafia leader. Nicolette’s appearance at one of Frankie’s performances sets off a series of events that lead Frankie into an unforeseen romantic journey.
